To curb this public health crisis, the Coalition for the Promotion of Healthy Diets in Cameroon<\/strong>\u2014a collective of 20 organizations\u2014has launched a national advocacy campaign urging the government to implement increased taxes on SBs and UPPs<\/strong>. This measure, combined with stricter advertising regulations, clearer food labeling, and robust public awareness, is aimed at reducing consumption and encouraging product reformulation by manufacturers.<\/p>\n\u201cTaking care of your own people, no matter the cost, can never be a burden to you or the economy.\u201d
